What type of Oats do you eat?

Save-A-Lot in Dunkirk has healthy oat options! Old fashioned oats are a great source of fiber and whole grains!

For breakfast:
Mix with water or milk and microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Top with fresh apples, bananas, or berries. You can even top with frozen fruit when other options are out of season or not available. 

What is Eat Smart New York?

Eat Smart New York (ESNY)  is a FREE nutrition education program for all individuals who qualify for and/or receive benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). ESNY provides nutrition education materials and sponsors education events and classes. A variety of nutritional topics include the following:

-Healthy eating on a budget
-Smart Shopping for fruits and veggies
-Healthy meal planning
-Basic cooking & food safety skills
-Weight control & physical activity

ESNY is now offering:

Grocery Store Tours & Cooking Classes!

ESNY classes are held at your local church, community center, food pantry, school, etc. If you would like your organization to hold a class, it can be scheduled. ESNY educators do their best to hold classes at convenient locations and times.
